Relationships[]
Mara Dyer
Mara is Daniel's younger sister. Mara has a close relationship with Daniel and refers to him as 'Mr Perfect'. He often teases her over the course of the books. Daniel is very protective of his younger sister and is also supportive.
Joseph Dyer
Joseph is the youngest of the Dyer children. He and Daniel's relationship is an average brother relationship. Throughout the book it is said that Joseph looks like Daniel.
Noah Shaw
Despite Noah being Mara's boyfriend, Daniel and Noah get along well, much to Mara's disliking. On Mara and Daniel's first day at Croyden, Noah approached Daniel while he was discussing studies with his music teacher and asked about Mara. Daniel briefly discussed the reason behind their move and went on to discuss music. This means that Daniel and Noah pretended not to know each other when Noah first took Mara out. In the second book, it is stated that Noah and Daniel hung out more when Mara was in the hospital, in which they became close friends.
Sophie Hall
Daniel and Sophie were in the same music study class in Croyden and he described her as one of the few people who stood out and as a brilliant violinist. In the first book, Sophie invites Daniel to meet up with her at a Halloween party. In the second book, Daniel, Sophie, Mara, and Noah go on a double date to a Cuban restaurant. They later go on to date until the first Noah Shaw book, after it is revealed she knew about Mara's treatment at Horizons.
